Well tonight I feel like I have been hit by a truck...a slow moving and smalish truck, but a truck none the less!
I am just really tired...I did not sleep well last night and then went back to work today and worked 10 hours...UGH!! I got up and walked as much as possible and felt pretty good until about 5:00 then I could feel my incisions starting to sting a little and tiredness creep over me!
I am 6 days post op and eating a mushy diet....at least that is what I think it is called....oatmeal, cream of wheat, yogurt, soups etc....
I had egg drop soup for dinner, but could only eat about 1/2 cup.
I get really full on small amounts of food, but I do feel hunger pretty quickly after...at least I think it's hunger!
My tummy growls, rumbles, grumbles and acts hungry....I feel hungry, but I am not sure that I really am or if it is part of the healing?? Anyone??
I have 0 pain and feel wonderful except for being run over by the truck tonight!! Can't wait to get a few weeks out...eat normal food and get my 1st fill!!
Only down a few pounds, but I am not really tracking as I am still bloated from surgery I think.
Just wanted to say HI to all of my new followers i ♥ you!!!

Hi! :o) I love keeping up with your blog ..it's one of the ones I put in my 'blog roll'
Every day should get better and better. Keep posting. I can't believe it has been 6 days for you already.
Isn't this lapband wonderful? Yesterday I was 2 wks post-op and haven't regretted a moment!
Sorry you feel so drained. I was like that for a bit too around the same time. But I was only on clear liquids and no protein. You might want to try and see about getting in some more protein to help with the energy. Also water. I notice when I get in at least 64 oz of water I have a good energy level. Anything less, like the past 3 days I have only done about 48 oz my energy level is just not the same.
On the gurgling in your belly, from what I have been told by a few other banders is that it will always do that. It is one of the side effects from the band. Does not mean you are hungry just the bigger pouch of your stomach that sits empty most of the time will start to talk more. I know mine has and I right away think oh hungry but I really am not. Drink some water and it calms down is what I have found. Or eat something small like SF Jello or Pudding.
Glad you are feeling great otherwise just take it easy as you are still healing. :)
Keep up the great work so far. :)
Kristen-Thanks so much!! I just went to your blog...are you just getting started?? I love the name!
Kinzie-It is getting better and better....how are you doing?
I know 7 days today...CRAZY!
Nawlinz Lady-It is wonderful so far!!
Cortney-Thanks! I know that I am not getting enough liquid...I need to drink more so I am trying to sip all day today...so far I am at 25oz! I hope I can make 64!!
I felt like crap for a good while. My doctor was much stricter with the post op diet and I was on liquids for a month. I thought I would die!! It gets better, though. Soon, you'll be feeling better than you have in a long time =)
congrats on your band and making it through your first day back at work! Limited or no restriction is really common in the beginning. I think it took me until fill # 3 or 4 until I REALLY noticed the difference.
Oh my goodness, I thought your blog title said "1st day back at work 6 WEEKS post-op!" and I had a little heart attack!
I hope you get your energy up soon, and thanks so much for the uplifting comments-they really helped ;)
HI! I was banded right after you and found your blog on LBT. I look forward to following your journey with you! GL!!
